Hi there! Thank you for visiting my web page -- I am so glad you’re here. My name is Laena Drake, a title professional serving clients within my role at Old Republic Title. As you visit, I’m excited to share with you a few resources, including an informative video library, links to helpful websites, and useful documents to download and share.

I made my debut into the title world by accepting a typist position I applied for out of the newspaper in 1997, not knowing what title insurance even was. Over the next two decades, I developed those initial skills to learn the intricate processes involved within each title transaction. Each one unique, each one new, each one exciting. This excitement fueled a drive to establish & run my own title company, supported by a team of true professionals for 9 years of my career.

Leading this title company, I was blessed to attend the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Business Program that not only shifted my overall personal perspective, but also my vision for upward professional movement. This program encapsulated the importance of thinking big picture and making a difference -- a difference I was eager to continue throughout title work.

I am very grateful to have joined the Old Republic Title family in 2019. I am a believer that there are no accidents and everything really does happen for a reason. Old Republic is a perfect example of just that. With my newfound perspective and vision and my manager's support, I created one of a kind systems & processes to bridge the gap between consumers, their Real Estate Agents, Mortgage Loan Officers and Title Companies. Elevating the title experience by creating a more personable, more memorable experience.

Once the systems and processes were running like a well oiled machine (thank you to the amazing professionals of TeamVELO), this created this drive to expand the vision. To make a difference through title on a larger scale, which brought me to my new role as Business Development, Director of Education and Team Leader for TeamVELO.

I feel that my new role is a “calling,” truly. I am passionate about helping people connect with their best selves and discover their why, creating a more successful life specifically in the Real Estate industry. 

I am excited to share my life and business experiences, along with my creativity to empower clients and friends to grow, expand and connect with who they authentically are, and to step into the gifts they are meant to be sharing!
