RESA RENEWAL

Have you renewed the agency RESA registration due by May 1, 2025?

In Virginia, Real Estate Settlement Agents (RESAs) are required to renew their registrations biennially by May 1 of every odd-numbered year; 2025 is a renewal year. This renewal applies to both Title Settlement Agent registrations and Producer Title licenses. To complete the renewal process, RESAs must submit the appropriate forms and fees through the Virginia Producer Portal, managed by Sircon. For non-resident agents, specific renewal instructions are available. 

To assist Agents the Virginia Bureau of Insurance has online information for RESA Agents on how to renew the registrations and much more. 

Failure to renew by the expiration date results in automatic termination, necessitating re-registration to resume settlement services. Ensure all renewal applications and continuing education requirements are completed by the specified deadlines to maintain compliance and uninterrupted settlement services.
