Karla J. Walker is a 22-year veteran and advocate of the New Mexico title industry. She is based out of our Rio Rancho, NM office.
As Senior Escrow Officer, Karla manages all aspects of the escrow closing process for residential and commercial real estate transactions. She also serves as the Region 5 District Director for the New Mexico Land Title Association (NMLTA), where she oversees strategic operations and activities in Bernalillo and Sandoval counties. Karla previously served on NMLTA’s Legislative/Judicial and Public Relations committees, and was the 2010 recipient of the association’s Professional Excellence Award for her region.
In addition to her many contributions to the title industry, Karla is also a strong supporter of education. She was the first inductee into the Rio Rancho Public Schools Hall of Honor, the first President of Rio Rancho Public Schools Board of Education, President of the New Mexico State School Boards Association and a member of the Federal Education Relations Board. She also served as Board President for The Haven House, a domestic shelter, and the anti-drug, anti-violence youth educational program, D.A.R.E.
Sandra is a valued member of Old Republic Title’s Albuquerque escrow team with 24 years of experience in the title and escrow industry.
A native of Fort Sumner, New Mexico, Sandra graduated from Fort Sumner High School and Roswell College of Cosmetology before entering the world of title insurance. She quickly learned the business and built a career with two national underwriters prior to joining Old Republic Title. Her favorite things about her job are interacting with new people, building lasting relationships with her clients, and striving to make every closing transaction a great experience for them.
In her spare time, Sandra is active in a local business networking group and enjoys traveling with her husband of 33 years, Jeff. They love glamping and going on cruises, and are looking to invest in an RV soon, so they can spend more time with their daughters, Nichole and Michelle; dogs Sophie (a 2-year-old Boston terrier) and Brutis (a 15-year-old mastiff/pitbull mix); and hopefully, one day, some future grandchildren!
