Course Description: Upon completion of the "All Things Solar" two-hour course, real estate agents will be able to identify key components of residential solar photovoltaic systems, including panels, inverters, meters, and battery storage options, and distinguish between grid-tied, off-grid, and hybrid setups common in Texas homes. Agents will evaluate ownership models such as outright purchase, financing, leases, and power purchase agreements (PPAs), recognizing associated transaction risks like liens, transferability issues, and buyer qualification challenges through document
review and seller questioning.

Participants will assess buyer and seller risks and rewards, including potential bill savings, resale value impacts, roof condition concerns, system maintenance, and market perception in high-utility-cost Texas regions, while applying basic valuation principles and appraiser documentation needs. Finally, agents will construct due-diligence checklists, incorporate appropriate Texas contract addenda and disclosure language for solar as real or personal property, and develop targeted listing intake questions to mitigate transaction delays and liability.

Participants will learn specific steps to take to disclose those things that are their duty to report as a result of the client/agent relationship. Also help clients understand what has to be disclosed related to the property involved in a real estate transaction. License holder will learn what they can and cannot say to parties in a real estate transaction. This will help them to properly make disclosures as required by law based on the stated disclosure practices. License holder will learn compliance with the policies and guidelines that govern appropriate business conduct and maintain the integrity of a real estate transaction. As a result, they will be more effective at managing disclosure risks for themselves, their clients, and their brokers.
