Jonathan is Assistant Vice President of Old Republic National Title Insurance Company (ORNTIC), Senior Underwriting Counsel and Assistant Operations Manager for the National Commercial Services (NCS) Chicago operation, where he underwrites title insurance policy coverages for commercial real estate transactions including complex high-liability, multi-site, multi-state portfolios. In this role, he negotiates title policy and endorsement coverages in connection with the acquisition, disposition, leasing, financing, refinancing and construction financing of a wide variety of commercial real property assets.
Jonathan serves as a resource for customers regarding all facets of title insurance, title curative and real estate settlement matters. In addition, he offers guidance to internal staff, leads department underwriting meetings and presents on a myriad of title insurance industry topics.
Prior to joining NCS in 2019, Jonathan acted as Underwriting Counsel and Title Department Manager of a Chicago-based title agency. Jonathan also practiced as an associate of a Chicago-based law firm representing national lenders and loan servicers in default litigation and related matters.
Lauren Gray serves as Senior Vice President of Old Republic National Title Insurance Company (ORNTIC) and Commercial Counsel for National Commercial Services (NCS), where she leads the National Energy Title Services Division. In this role, she advises energy developers, commercial investors and financial institutions on complex real estate, title insurance and transactional matters associated with energy and infrastructure projects across the United States. Her team delivers specialized underwriting and closing services tailored to the unique demands of utility-scale renewable energy, conventional power, and emerging energy technologies.
Previously serving as Associate General Counsel and Real Estate Project Counsel for national companies that invest in and develop utility-scale solar farms and wind farms, gas-fired power plants, LNG facilities, BESS sites and data centers, Lauren has deep industry insight shaped by hands-on experience supporting the development, construction, financing and acquisition of large-scale energy projects.
Her background includes advising developers, owners, operators and service providers of wind, solar and energy storage projects in matters involving real estate, title insurance, environmental diligence, negotiation of commercial contracts used in the development and construction of renewable energy projects, and diligence in support of acquisitions and financing of renewable energy projects.
Lauren is a graduate of Pennsylvania State University - The Dickinson School of Law. She has practiced law for over 27 years, including holding positions in several law firms in New York and Texas, and serving as in-house counsel for energy development companies, where she represented developers and commercial clients. This combined private-practice and in-house experience enables her to bridge legal, technical, and operational considerations in support of complex energy transactions.
Lauren is a member of the Texas Bar and New York State Bar and is a frequently requested speaker and presenter for energy industry programs, regularly sharing her expertise on title, risk management, and real estate issues affecting the energy sector.
Terry is Vice President, Old Republic National Title Insurance Company (ORNTIC) and Commercial Sales Representative for the National Commercial Services (NCS) Chicago office. He has been engaged in the national title insurance business for over 30 years. During that time, he has been involved in some of the largest and most sophisticated real estate transactions in the country. Terry has extensive experience in working with REIT’s, law firms, lenders, developers and investors in all segments of the commercial real estate business.
Terry has a degree in Finance from the University of Illinois and an MBA from Northwestern University. Terry is a past president of several organizations including the Chicago Real Estate Council, the Commerce Alumni Association at the University of Illinois and the Union League Club of Chicago. He resides in Park Ridge Illinois, has two daughters and four granddaughters.
