Kristi Gibbs has been a strong leader and influential member of the New Mexico team at Old Republic Title since 2009. She is currently based out of the Jefferson branch office in Albuquerque, NM.
A long-time resident of Albuquerque, Kristi has over 30 years of experience in the title insurance industry. She began her career as an Escrow Assistant for a local title company. Over time, Kristi advanced to her current role as Vice President, Old Republic National Title Insurance Company and Division Manager for the Albuquerque area, where she manages over 70 Old Republic Title employees in six branch locations.
Kristi also sits on the Executive Board of Directors for the New Mexico chapter of NAIOP, the Commercial Real Estate Development Association, and serves on the Board of Directors for Special Olympics of New Mexico.
Lisa Ortega, Senior Escrow Officer, is an industry veteran and valued member of the Old Republic Title escrow team. She is based out of our Jefferson branch office in Albuquerque, NM.
An Albuquerque native, Lisa has been helping people in her hometown achieve their dreams of owning a home or opening a business for over 25 years. She is skilled in residential and commercial refinances, construction loans and resale transactions. Lisa worked for another national underwriter for 18 years before making the move to Old Republic Title in 2015.
According to Lisa, the secret to a smooth closing is constant communication. She enjoys getting to know her clients, answering their questions and working closely with all parties to ensure transactions stay on track.
Julie Kaltenbach has been in the title business for over 20 years, with experience in purchase transactions, refinances and short sales. She is based out of our Jefferson branch office in Albuquerque, NM.
Julie started her title career fresh out of high school, learning the business between time spent in a West Texas title plant and the local courthouse. She earned a bachelor’s degree in fine art from Texas Tech University and took graduate courses in fine arts from Wichita State University. After completing her studies, Julie moved to Albuquerque and worked as a Courier for a local title insurance company. Over time, she advanced to Escrow Assistant and then Escrow Officer. Julie joined Old Republic Title in 2009, where she’s known for providing exceptional service with a smile.
Gail Bremer is a 35+ year veteran of the title industry and a valued member of the Old Republic Title escrow team. She is based out of our Jefferson branch office in Albuquerque, NM.
A native of Los Alamos, NM, Gail has handled residential and commercial closings in the Albuquerque real estate market for over 25 years. She started in the title business in 1983 and worked as an escrow officer until 2000, when she relocated to Texas and worked as a loan officer in Dallas and Houston for a short time. In 2002, Gail moved back West and returned to her title industry roots. She worked as an escrow officer in Arizona and California for four years before returning to the Land of Enchantment, and joined Old Republic Title in 2009.
Lori is an Albuquerque, NM native who brings more than 20 years of experience in title, real estate and loan subservicing to Old Republic Title.
As a former post-closing manager and real estate professional, Lori has an in-depth understanding of the real estate closing process. She is especially skilled in REO transactions, having spent five years as an REO closer for one of the largest law firms in Virginia. From there, she gained valuable experience working in the default division of a mortgage subservicing company, where she liquidated bank-owned and USDA assets before advancing to other roles.
Throughout her career, Lori has learned that close communication with all parties is the key to a successful transaction. She is committed to providing exceptional service tailored to the needs of each client and enjoys guiding them to the moment they can finally close on their new home.
In her free time, Lori enjoys hiking, spinning and yoga. When she’s not exercising, you can find her cooking, baking and spoiling her pets.
Teresa is a skilled Escrow Officer with 25 years of experience in the title industry. Based in Old Republic Title’s Jefferson office, she leverages her background in escrow, sales, marketing and operations to facilitate smooth transactions for her clients.
An Albuquerque native, Teresa entered the title business in 1995 as an Escrow Assistant for a large national underwriter. By 2000, she advanced to the role of Escrow Officer, where her attention to detail and follow-through earned her a reputation for excellence. Looking to expand her knowledge and skills, Teresa spent the next 15 years in sales and leadership roles. She worked in Business Development and served as the Marketing Director before changing companies to become an Assistant Vice President and Operations Manager. Teresa kicked off 2020 by joining Old Republic Title and returning to what she loves: guiding clients through one of the most important transactions in their lives.
When she is not handling escrow, Teresa is actively pursuing a joint bachelor’s degree and Master of Business Administration from the University of New Mexico. In her spare time, she enjoys spending quality time with her son, Marcus, traveling and dining out with friends.
Vicki Moore is an experienced Escrow Officer who uses her background in mortgage finance to guide her clients through the closing process and into their dream home. She is based in Old Republic Title’s Carmel office in Albuquerque, NM.
The daughter of an Air Force Senior Master Sergeant, Vicki moved to Albuquerque when she was five years old. She entered the mortgage business in 1989 and managed branch operations for several mortgage companies until 2010. During her 21-year tenure, Vicki oversaw loan origination and processing, and assisted with funding and closing a variety of loan products. She transitioned to the retail industry for a short time before joining the Old Republic Title family in 2012.
With over 27 years of title, escrow and mortgage expertise, Vicki knows how to close real estate transactions — and does it with a smile. She enjoys building relationships with her clients, educating them about the closing process and sharing in their joy when they finally achieve the “American Dream.” Vicki is committed to making sure every client walks away knowing they received the utmost care and professionalism.
In her free time, Vicki enjoys spending time with husband, Scott, their daughters, Samantha and Amanda, and two dogs. Her hobbies also include reading, baking and gardening.
Smraa is a savvy marketing professional and a natural self-starter. She takes initiative when it comes to growing her business and developing life-long relationships. She’s passionate about bringing people together for the greater good, and her signature trademark is going above and beyond for her clients.
Her background includes consulting in web design, marketing and social media strategy. As a team player, Smraa strives to help her clients tell their story in a way that sets them apart and makes a positive impact.
Outside the office, Smraa is committed to wellness and physical activity. She enjoys running, hiking, biking, hot yoga and jiu-jitsu. Her favorite quote is “be humble, be teachable and always keep learning.” You can usually catch her reading a book or listening to a podcast on faith, mindset or real estate.
As Chief Title Officer and Title Production Plant Manager for Old Republic Title’s direct operations in New Mexico, Frank Ortiz is responsible for underwriting, title and escrow production throughout metropolitan Albuquerque.
A native of Los Lunas, Frank has been a fixture of the New Mexico title insurance industry since 1985. He started as a Title Examiner and spent the early years of his career with local title insurance companies. As his knowledge and skillset increased, Frank advanced to Title Officer, Title Production Manager, Policy Production Supervisor, County Branch Manager and Chief Title Officer. He joined a national underwriter in 2001, where he added Escrow Branch Manager to his duties. By the time he joined Old Republic Title in 2014, Frank had picked up two more roles, Escrow Officer and Office Manager, while serving as Chief Title Officer.
Frank’s willingness to wear so many professional hats is a testament to his competency, efficiency and commitment to service. He is as passionate about helping customers achieve their dreams of homeownership today as he was when he started in the business 30 years ago. Frank takes pride in protecting their investments and ensuring that every transaction goes as smoothly as possible.
