Kristi Gibbs has been a strong leader and influential member of the New Mexico team at Old Republic Title since 2009. She is currently based out of the Jefferson branch office in Albuquerque, NM.
A long-time resident of Albuquerque, Kristi has over 30 years of experience in the title insurance industry. She began her career as an Escrow Assistant for a local title company. Over time, Kristi advanced to her current role as Vice President, Old Republic National Title Insurance Company and Division Manager for the Albuquerque area, where she manages over 70 Old Republic Title employees in six branch locations.
Kristi also sits on the Executive Board of Directors for the New Mexico chapter of NAIOP, the Commercial Real Estate Development Association, and serves on the Board of Directors for Special Olympics of New Mexico.
Gail Bremer is a 35+ year veteran of the title industry and a valued member of the Old Republic Title escrow team. She is based out of our Jefferson branch office in Albuquerque, NM.
A native of Los Alamos, NM, Gail has handled residential and commercial closings in the Albuquerque real estate market for over 25 years. She started in the title business in 1983 and worked as an escrow officer until 2000, when she relocated to Texas and worked as a loan officer in Dallas and Houston for a short time. In 2002, Gail moved back West and returned to her title industry roots. She worked as an escrow officer in Arizona and California for four years before returning to the Land of Enchantment, and joined Old Republic Title in 2009.
Lisa Ortega, Senior Escrow Officer, is an industry veteran and valued member of the Old Republic Title escrow team. She is based out of our Jefferson branch office in Albuquerque, NM.
An Albuquerque native, Lisa has been helping people in her hometown achieve their dreams of owning a home or opening a business for over 25 years. She is skilled in residential and commercial refinances, construction loans and resale transactions. Lisa worked for another national underwriter for 18 years before making the move to Old Republic Title in 2015.
According to Lisa, the secret to a smooth closing is constant communication. She enjoys getting to know her clients, answering their questions and working closely with all parties to ensure transactions stay on track.
Julie Kaltenbach has been in the title business for over 20 years, with experience in purchase transactions, refinances and short sales. She is based out of our Jefferson branch office in Albuquerque, NM.
Julie started her title career fresh out of high school, learning the business between time spent in a West Texas title plant and the local courthouse. She earned a bachelor’s degree in fine art from Texas Tech University and took graduate courses in fine arts from Wichita State University. After completing her studies, Julie moved to Albuquerque and worked as a Courier for a local title insurance company. Over time, she advanced to Escrow Assistant and then Escrow Officer. Julie joined Old Republic Title in 2009, where she’s known for providing exceptional service with a smile.
As Chief Title Officer and Title Production Plant Manager for Old Republic Title’s direct operations in New Mexico, Frank Ortiz is responsible for underwriting, title and escrow production throughout metropolitan Albuquerque.
A native of Los Lunas, Frank has been a fixture of the New Mexico title insurance industry since 1985. He started as a Title Examiner and spent the early years of his career with local title insurance companies. As his knowledge and skillset increased, Frank advanced to Title Officer, Title Production Manager, Policy Production Supervisor, County Branch Manager and Chief Title Officer. He joined a national underwriter in 2001, where he added Escrow Branch Manager to his duties. By the time he joined Old Republic Title in 2014, Frank had picked up two more roles, Escrow Officer and Office Manager, while serving as Chief Title Officer.
Frank’s willingness to wear so many professional hats is a testament to his competency, efficiency and commitment to service. He is as passionate about helping customers achieve their dreams of homeownership today as he was when he started in the business 30 years ago. Frank takes pride in protecting their investments and ensuring that every transaction goes as smoothly as possible.
