Old Republic Title is pleased to announce that Galen R. McMurtrey, Vice President, Old Republic National Title Insurance Company, and Agency Manager for Idaho, Montana and Wyoming, has been promoted to Rocky Mountain Region Business Development Manager. In this new role, Galen will support agency operations in Idaho, Montana, Utah and Wyoming.
Galen is an industry veteran, having worked in the title insurance industry for 28 years. He has a natural affinity for business management, analytics, economic trends, demographics, emerging competitive trends, and the impact these have on title agents. This passion, as well as his industry knowledge, are especially valuable in his new role. Galen uses a non-traditional approach to assist agents in securing, stabilizing and growing their businesses for the future.
Prior to joining Old Republic Title in 2015, Galen utilized his background and expertise as a Certified Public Accountant while working for another national title insurance underwriter as a Multi-State Financial Manager. In that capacity, he assisted in the evaluation and purchase of title agencies. Galen also served as a County Operations Manager, leading a team that created and promoted new products and services to enhance workflows and agent search products. Galen followed these products to the company’s National Agency Services Division, where he served as the liaison for agent-oriented products provided by the underwriter nationwide.
Galen is a graduate of Brigham Young University’s Professional School of Accountancy and has held a Certified Public Accounting license since 1985.
