Recording Document Specialist

A Recording Desk Specialist (RDeS) is responsible for the accurate review of title files and real estate documents on behalf of ePN clients. Real title files and real estate documents include all files and documents related to the closing transaction of real property that are insured by our clients and recorded to be placed on public record at a local County Recorder office. An RDeS is also responsible for all functions associated with the release of files and the submission process including but not limited to:

  • Examining title files and documents for specified requirements
  • Dating down files and Researching online County indexes
  • Tracking communication and releases of title files
  • Examination of Real Estate documents for recording requirements
  • Basic accounting and reconciliation of fees paid for daily work

Essential Functions:

  • Regular consistent attendance is required.
  • Ability to work a specified schedule anytime from 5:30 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.
  • Must be personable, positive and a professional representative of the Company.
  • Ability to accept supervision.
  • Must have the ability to drive long distances if needed. Must have and maintain reliable transportation.
  • Ability to foster, develop and maintain professional and collaborative working relationships. Must be able to get along with others, i.e., peers, supervisors, outside customers, and vendors.
  • Be the first point of contact for client inquires and questions that may arise.
  • Ability to interact effectively and professionally with all levels of management, employees and customers by email, phone and in person.  
  • Ability to work overtime as requested and approved by supervisor.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Knowledge/Skills/Experience Required:

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of real estate documents, title insurance, or escrow functions is preferred.
  • Proficient computer skills including knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and Outlook.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and handle large volumes of work with tight deadlines.

Physical/Mental Demands:

  • Ability to perform under pressure and be flexible with disruptions throughout the workday.
  • Must be able to work approved and requested overtime, by supervisor.
  • Repetitive and continual typing motion is required.
  • Weight lifted on average – lifting batches of documents – 0-10 lbs

Experience:

1 - 3 years
