Notice of Increase in the Policy Guaranty
Fee
The Texas Title Insurance Guaranty
Association voted to
increase the policy guarantee fee
from $1.00
to $5.00.
This
change will take effect
April 1, 2008.
The
Guaranty Fee will be $5.00
for each owner title policy and $5.00 for each mortgagee title
policy collected during the applicable
quarter. In preparation for the new
fee, please make the appropriate
changes to your closing / collection
procedures.
This
new fee will be due
with the new
form on or before August 1, 2008.
Continue to use the old
form for the first quarter of this
year, which is due on or before May 1,
2008, to include transactions
which occurred from January 1, 2008
to March 31, 2008.
