2006 Rate
Hearing Consent Order Published
The Texas Department of
Insurance has published a Consent Order
in the matter of the 2006 Rate Hearing. This Consent Order recognizes the uncertain
state of the real
estate industry and all parties to the hearing
agreed that
no increase or decrease in title insurance rates
should occur at this
time. There will be
no change in the
rates for title insurance.

This Consent Order applies only to the
ratemaking phase of the 2006 Hearing.
There are several agenda
items pending from the rulemaking phase
of the Hearing that have not been adopted. Old Republic will alert you when these items
are adopted or rejected by the
Commissioner.
Please note that the
proposed changes to P-24 submitted by
the Sierra Group and by the Texas Department of
Insurance as Agenda Item 2006-65 and Agenda Item 2006-67
have been
withdrawn. Therefore, the
current rule remains in
place. |
