AM Trust Requires Agents to Use ALTA Short Form Policy
AM Trust
recently
requested
that
agents
only
issue
the ALTA
Short
Form
Policy
when
insuring
one of
their
transactions.
In the
event
you have
never
used the
Short
Form
Policy,
below is
further
information
regarding
the
form:
-
The
Schedule
A of
the
Commitment
should
indicate
your
intention
to
issue
the
ALTA
Short
Form
Policy.
-
The
premium
charge
is
the
same
for
the
Short
Form
Policy
as
is
with
the
standard
Long
Form
Policy;
however,
the
Short
Form
includes
the
100
and
300
endorsements.
To
cover
the
cost
of
those
endorsements,
there
is
an
additional
$100
fee,
which
can
be
added
to
the
premium
line
of
the
HUD.
-
If
additional
endorsements
are
required,
the
charge
for
those
remains
the
same
as
if
issuing
a
Long
Form
Policy.
-
The
jacket
and
schedules
are
different.
The
prefix
for
the
Short
Form
Policy
Jacket
is
MXSP
-
