All applicants seeking a title insurance license should first determine if they qualify. Title Insurance Licensing
Obtaining an Appointment: In order to maintain their title insurance licenses, individuals or entities must obtain an agent or agency appointment with a title insurance underwriter within two (2) years of becoming licensed. To make application for agent/agency appointment with Old Republic Title, please contact the ORT office in your area as shown on the indicator map, or call the Agency Administrator's office in Tampa at (800) 342-5957.
Appointment Renewal: Title Insurance appointments are renewable every two (2) years. For individuals, the renewal period occurs n their birth month. For title companies, renewals are due in the anniversary month in which the license was first issued. The renewal fee is $62.10. In addition, individuals seeking renewal must also have met continuing education requirements.
