Our History

Old Republic National Title Insurance Company, formerly Title Insurance Company of Minnesota is one of the largest title insurers in the United States.  Old Republic National Title Insurance Company opened for business in 1907, then named Real Estate Title Company.  In 1929 we acquired several Minnesota abstract companies and changed our name to Title Insurance Company of Minnesota.  In 1941, Title Insurance Company of Minnesota became one of the first title companies in the country to conduct business across state lines by becoming licensed and signing agents in Florida. Title Insurance Company of Minnesota became licensed in Texas in 1966 and New Mexico in 1968.  Today we are licensed in 48 states and the District of Columbia.  In 1992 Title Insurance Company of Minnesota became Old Republic National Title Insurance Company.
